We are currently seeking an experienced Instructional Design Lead to spearhead innovative training strategies and content development for our valued client, Bank of America (BOA). As a key part of our collaborative partnership, this role will bridge communication between the BOA Academy and various Lines of Business (LOBs), driving the creation of cutting-edge instructional content and facilitating knowledge enhancement through various learning platforms.
Position Details
- Location: Remote, United States
- Type: Contract Position (1099)
- Hours: Approximately 30 hours per week
- Duration: Ongoing
- Compensation: $55 - $60 per hour
Key Responsibilities
Training Strategy Design
- Own and recommend training strategy design and approaches tailored to meet specific project goals.
- Create and implement engaging learning activities and course content that significantly augment the learning process.
- Utilize proven instructional design theories, practices, and methodologies to enhance content effectiveness.
Content Development and Management
- Develop interactive content, including e-learning, job aids, quick reference guides, and more, aligning with instructional goals.
- Ensure timely and within-budget delivery of project deliverables by managing design teams and resources effectively.
- Communicate strategy and project progress with BOA Academy partners and Line-of-Business stakeholders.
Collaboration and Relationship Building
- Build strong, collaborative partnerships with cross-functional teams to support training initiatives.
- Advise on budget and staffing requirements for project success.
- Develop role-based learning journeys supported by interactive content to educate and engage learners effectively.
Performance Measurement
- Assess and quantify the ROI of learning initiatives, measuring performance gains and business impact.
- Identify strategies for improving learning outcomes through optimized design and delivery.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 5+ years of instructional design experience, focusing on systems or technical training development.
- 7+ years of experience in developing high-quality, complex content.
- Proficiency in a range of content delivery methods, including ILT, vILT, eLearning, and microlearning.
- Skilled in assessing training needs and recommending strategic project approaches.
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to support large training projects.
- Bachelor’s degree required; a focus in Business, Adult Learning, or Instructional Design is preferred. Experience in retail or wholesale environments is beneficial.
Skills & Abilities
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Expertise in instructional design and strategic capability development.
- Proficiency with content authoring tools such as Lectora, Captivate, Storyline, and Rise.
- Strong project management skills with a focus on detail orientation and organizational efficiency.
- Highly proficient in LMS management and Microsoft Office suite.
