We are looking for an accomplished and innovative Learning Strategist to partner with us on creating impactful learning programs. This role is pivotal in aligning training and development initiatives with the core values and strategic objectives of our client, particularly in a retail environment. This part-time position, estimated at 40 hours spread over four weeks, has the potential to develop into a more extensive engagement.
Position Details
- Work Type: Part-time, potential for longer commitment
- Compensation: Highly competitive, flexible to negotiate within an hourly range of $75 - $100, based on experience
- Location: Hybrid - 25% on-site in Dubuque, IA; 75% remote. Open to candidates residing close to Iowa and Wisconsin
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Assessment & Design
- Enhance existing training programs to ensure alignment with client values and strategic goals.
- Work collaboratively with store managers and department heads to design team-oriented training.
- Create curricula that emphasizes community engagement and corporate social responsibility.
Strategic Alignment
- Translate business strategies into actionable learning objectives that support customer service and teamwork.
- Develop programs that equip employees to effectively serve both customers and communities.
Learning Interventions
- Design and implement impactful learning interventions in areas such as customer service and teamwork.
- Assess and refine learning programs to enhance customer satisfaction and community engagement.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with leadership and department heads to align learning programs with regional needs.
- Integrate community engagement initiatives into learning programs, reinforcing corporate culture.
Continuous Improvement
- Analyze feedback and industry trends to continuously improve learning outcomes.
Assessment and Reporting
- Measure and report the success of learning programs using assessments and performance metrics.
- Provide leadership with insights and recommendations based on program impacts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Organizational Development, Business, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in learning and development in a retail or customer-facing environment.
- Strong instructional design skills and familiarity with various learning tools and modalities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to inspire and engage various teams.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in family-owned businesses or regional retail chains.
- Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) for retail training environments.
